FAQ

At Resilient Physical Therapy, we understand that you may have questions about our services. Below are some frequently asked questions that we hope will provide you with the answers you need. If you don't find what you're looking for here, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're always happy to help!

  • Do I need to see my doctor before starting PT?
    No. As of 2014, Michigan has direct access for physical therapy, meaning you can be seen by a physical therapist for an initial evaluation without needing a referral from a physician. However, in order to provide you with holistic care your initial evaluation and plan of care will be sent to your primary care physician and/or specialist for their review. Most often they will provide a prescription for physical therapy.
  • What is direct access PT?
    Public Act 260 of 2014 states that Physical Therapists (PT) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) can provide direct access physical therapy to patients without a referral/prescription. The law allows patients to receive physical therapy from a PT or PTA up to 21 days or 10 visits (whichever comes first) before needing a signed referral/presciption or plan of care from a physician.
  • Do you take insurance?
    We are currently in the process of getting credentialled with the following insurances: Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Blue Cross Blue Shield Federal Employer Program Tricare Medicare Humana Medicare Advantage Medicare PLUS Blue If you are unsure of your physical therapy benefits, please contact us and we can help you find out your eligibility as best as we are able. Most insurance plans cover physical therapy but may have a co-pay or deductible applied. If we do not accept your insurance, we are willing to work with you to submit a “superbill” for physical therapy through any out-of-network benefits with your insurance plan. Our non-insurance rates for physical therapy services are as follows (single appointments are due upon service, packages require pre-payment). Initial Evaluation: $170 (1.5 hour appointment) Treatment: $140 (1 hour appointment) Treatment Package: $120/visit in packages of 5 or 10 visits available for patients using out of network insurance.   • How do I add a new question & answer?
    To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?
    Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
